Over the past couple of days we have been watching a documentary about the famous architect, Louis Kahn. Overall it was about his Louis's son trying to find out more about his mysterious father, who is Louis Kahn. Throughout the film Louis's son went to different people and attempted to learn more about his father. They also talked about some of the buildings that Louis built. One of them was a building in India. This building is called the Indian Institute of Management. What surprised me about this building was how big of an impact it made on India. When Louis's son was talking to someone from the building they talked about how big of an impact he had made. One he said that surprised me the most was how he said their enemies though it was an ancient building so they didn't bomb it. I think that it is great they Louis was able to build something that helped a country and was able to build an amazing building. Also why they were in India they talked to some local about the architect of the building and when they mentioned Louis's name they almost immediately knew who he was, that just shows how much of an impact he has made in this world while he was alive.
Louis Kahn:
Indian Institute of Management by Louis Kahn:
Louis Kahn was seemed like a very creative and "out of the box" architect somewhat like Frank Gehry. Good job.
